It’s a growth thing.

Does anyone else struggle to get up in winter? The sky isn’t awake why should I be? Once you’re out of bed it’s fine but it is the initials waking up, where you know you’re in a warm cozy bed and out there the cold sunless morning.

It snowed here in Georgia, which really made it feel like winter. It was amazing and the first time I have seen snow in over a year. Snow is honestly my favorite. This winter has been a fight; it hasn’t been my favorite.

CGA is growth. Have you ever gone through a big growth spurt as a kid and your bones ache? Even though growth hurts it’s necessary when it comes to things like growing taller or growing up. We can also choose growth. When you chose to go to college, a technical school or a leadership program, that’s choosing growth. When you decide to start a new job or take a promotion, this is choosing growth.

What does it look like to fight for growth? What does it look like to have the grit to wake up and say, “today I will not be idle, today I will fill up on the Lord and pour out his love on others. Today I will peruse growth!”

In CGA I’ve been learning growth in the moment looks small. You can’t plant a small tree in your yard and expect it to be a hug oak tree the next day. Growth is slow.

Growth to me looks like making small choices everyday to make today look different than yesterday. In this season I am growing in many things, one of them being my identity. When I do choose to get out of my cozy warm bed in the morning and face a sleepy sky, I chose to walk in my identity in Christ. I choose to wake up and say no matter what happens today I am God’s child and I am a princess. I will treat people with love, grace, and kindness that reflect the Fathers heart.

What are you choosing to grow in? I would love to hear about it. Comment below to tell me what you are choosing to grow in this new year.

If you are interested in partnering with the kingdom and me financially you can click the “Donate” Button on this page. Don’t think you have to donate $100 to be affective, $5, $10, or even $20 means just as much.

Even if you don’t financially partner with me, PLEASE pray for me and the other people doing CGA. Prayer support is powerful and important. We are all a community, part of the body of believers and we need  each other.
